Gov. John Hickenlooper today ordered flags be lowered to half-staff on all public buildings statewide on Monday, May 30, in observance of Memorial Day. The flags, by order of President Barack Obama, should be lowered until noon.
“We owe a great debt of gratitude to the men and woman who served our country and died while protecting our freedoms,” Hickenlooper said. “We should also remember and recognize members of the U.S. military here and abroad who help make our country safer every day. Colorado is home to thousands of active-duty and retired military personnel and the family and friends who support them. We are grateful for their service and support on this Memorial Day and every day.”
