A Sad Day

Dr. Sheri Simon D.V.M., a long time member of the Brighton Chamber of Commerce and fixture in the Brighton community died on Sunday, December 4, 2011, at the University of Colorado Hospital.

Sheri was 49. She is mother to Kari Jo and Lucas, and wife of Dave Simon. She is the owner of the Brighton Animal Clinic, Play, Stay and More and the International Canine Semen Bank (ICSB) located at 180 East Bromley Lane, Brighton.

She was very active in the Brighton community. She was a member of Brighton Rotary and founder and past President of Brighton Early Rotary. She was a noted donor to the Platte Valley Medical Center's new construction and an active fundraiser and participant in Brighton's Relay for Life.

She was also a very talented singer and a long time member of Platte Valley Players. She was looking forward to performing in the group's upcoming presentation at the Armory.

Sheri believed in helping those less fortunate. She was active with Philanthropic Education Organization PEO, the Brighton Boys and Girls Club and the children of Brighton most in need.

Arrangements have not yet been finalized.
