
Born in New Jersey, Robert’s parents divorced when he was eight years old. Robert lived with his mother who often struggled to make ends meet. Despite their families challenges, Robert describes his childhood as a very happy time, which he says came from a loving family environment. During these forming years Robert earned his Eagle Scout.
Robert went on to serve in the United State Navy and was honorably discharged in 1988. After working for several years in a management positions, Robert moved to Arvada in 2002 and moved to his current home in Westminster soon after.
Today, Robert, along with his wife, Suzanne Stone Ramirez, and their daughter Lauren Sides, live in the Countryside neighborhood in Westminster. Ramirez says he is motivated by his deep commitment to his local community and hopes to continue that commitment by serving as the state Representative for House District 29.
Robert has helped with numerous charities in Westminster and throughout the community. Some highlights include serving as a delegate to the board of directors for a local retirement community, as a member of a local middle school PTA, and other charitable positions raising money and assisting in community improvement efforts.
Ramirez presently is in a management position with a locally family owned and operated uniform rental service. Robert earned an Associate’s Degree in business and is currently working on a Bachelors Degree in Public Administration Management. His wife, Suzanne, is an elementary school teacher and has worked in Jefferson County schools since 2001. His daughter Lauren is in seventh grade in Jefferson County.
The Ramirez family has adapted to the Colorado lifestyle. They enjoy hiking, skiing, golf, photography, motorcycling, and are all competitive martial artists. Robert and his family enjoy their recreation time together, but, like most families in Colorado, they too are feeling the crunch of the Economy.
